Seasonal Help – Pool Manager, OVP and TVP




Parks and Recreation








Responsible for the safe, effective and efficient management and administration of all aspects of facility operations including employees, equipment and patrons.  Reports directly to the Recreation Supervisor.  Deals effectively with people of all ages and abilities.


  • Oversees the pool management, and front desk operations with the assistance of supervisory staff.
  • Supervises and assists the Assistant Manager and Head Cashier to assure the successful supervision and training of employees including assignment and explanation of duties, preparation of work schedules, timesheets, reports and performance evaluations.
  • In conjunction with the Recreation Supervisor, coordinates/supervises pool usage with the swim program instructors.
  • Operates and maintains all pool equipment, grounds and facilities in excellent condition at all times including the pool filtration system.
  • Performs the duties of Assistant Manager and Head Cashier, as needed.
  • Acts as liaison between the Recreation Supervisor and pool management using various means of communication, including meetings.
  • Develops emergency action plans and coordinates rescue operations.
  • Enforces safety standards and emergency and administrative procedures for the operation of pool, concession area and front desk.
  • Works closely with Recreation Supervisor to promote the pool, its programs and other Parks and Recreation facilities/activities.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Current Lifeguard Training and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or Lifeguard Management Certification and CPR, AED, and First Aid.
  • Water Safety Instructor; Instructor Training, AFO/CP a plus.
  • Considerable knowledge of swimming pool operations, sanitation, programming and safety required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule up to but not exceeding 40 hours/week including weekends and holidays (weather dependent).
  • Possess excellent math and bookkeeping skills.
  • Experience working with people of all ages, handling emergencies and resolving conflicts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Possess excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Highly motivated, personable and a self-starter.
  • Possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Current FBI Fingerprint, PA Child Abuse, and PA Criminal Background check clearances as required by law
  • Current PA Pesticide Applicator Certification or ability to obtain certification
