POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for all matters relating to Sheriff's sales of real estate and preparing cost sheets for sale of property.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must review and check each case (file) for Sheriff’s Sale to make sure all requirements of the law and proper procedures are met.  Total responsible of conducting Sheriff Sales.

  • Checks complaints against advertising copy, cost sheet and condition of sale

  • Mail advertisements to appropriate newspapers every month.

  • Receives and checks handbills, distributes to concerned parties.

  • Acquires all costs and compiles for attorneys and internal control of monies.

  • In charge of all Sheriff Sales on the second Friday of every month.

  • Process papers for title companies and is the liaison between the attorneys and the Sheriff’s Office.

  • Record deeds and informs concerned parties.

  • May be required to perform additional work that follows prescribed or essential procedures that can be learned within a reasonable time by training on the job.  More detailed instructions as to the nature of their duties will be given to employees at the beginning of work.

  • Performs similar or related duties as assigned/required.

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Must have working computer skills and minimum wpm 45.

  • Working knowledge of Sheriff’s real estate sales.

  • Experience maintaining and organizing files and Real estate related banking, and financial processing.

  • Ability to coordinate all facets of real estate procedures including conducting Sheriff’s Sales.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
