POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the purchase and procurement of supplies, including housekeeping, laundry and maintenance items, necessary for the efficient, timely and economical operation of Neshaminy Manor in accordance with the County Purchasing Department requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Written and verbal correspondence with outside vendors concerning purchase requests and supplies in accordance with the Purchasing Policies, including meeting the Lawson system requirements.

  • Works with departments and enforces the maintenance of adequate par levels ensuring that the Manor always has supplies on hand to meet the needs of the residents.

  • Follows the Purchasing requirements for use of credit card, securing vendor quotes, developing specifications for posting on DemandStar and submitting specifications for the bid process as per the Purchasing Policies.

  • Responsible for preparing purchase requests and tracking purchase orders for facility needs

  • Other related Business Office duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma; College Business and Computer courses preferable

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet required

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to perform calculations quickly and accurately.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of office equipment.
