POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs budgetary and financial analytics for stimulus revenues received in all departments including the handling of confidential information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists Chief Financial Officer and other Division Leaders in monitoring stimulus revenues and expenditures.

  • Assists in the preparation of budget adjustments for current and future stimulus revenues and expenditures.

  • Monitors eligible expenditures against budgets and advises of any necessary changes.

  • Analyzes quarterly expenditures and prepares reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

  • Analyzes and forecasts quarterly expenditures for the remainder of the stimulus reporting period.

  • Projects cost/benefit analyses for potential stimulus expenditures and/or programs.

  • Works closely with all department fiscal personnel to properly account for accruals.

  • Advises the Chief Financial Officer and other Division Leaders of problem areas.

  • Assists various County departments and agencies with individual issues.

  • Serves as liaison between the Chief Financial Officer and other Division Leaders regarding stimulus matters.

  • Schedules meetings with other Divisions as needed.

  • Maintains all historical data.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or four years of equivalent experience and training.

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite and applications.

  • Ability to use spread sheets, word processing and data base applications.

  • Ability to type various financial and statistical reports in generally accepted formats.

  • Ability to work without direction as well as possess the ability to work effectively with the public, other offices and agencies.

  • Possess knowledge of Business English, composition and arithmetic.

  • Exercise a high level of confidentiality.
