Restrictive Probation Program – General Information
The Bucks County Restrictive Probation Program (RP) is a sentencing alternative for non-violent level 2, 3 and 4 defendants. In line with the purposes established by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, Bucks County RP focuses on protecting the community, promoting individual accountability and positive behavior change while improving efficiency and economy in the delivery of correctional services.
The requirements and eligibility criteria for the program are listed under Bucks County Restrictive Probation and DUI Eligibility. Defendants interested in the program must complete a Restrictive Probation Application and return it to Christine A. Walsh, Supervisor of the Bucks County Adult Probation and Parole Department by email, fax or in person at least 30 days prior to sentencing. The application will be reviewed by the RP officer and forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for completion of the sentencing guidelines and their review. If the applicant meets the criteria for restrictive probation, an interview and field visit to the home will be conducted to make a final determination of eligibility for the program.
For any questions regarding the program, please contact Christine A. Walsh at the Bucks County Adult Probation and Parole department, cawalsh@buckscounty.org or 215-444-2616.
