Bucks County Sheriff’s Office Seeking Applicants for Second Citizens Academy

The Inaugural Sheriff's Citizens Academy Graduating Class, May 2016.Bucks County Sheriff Edward “Duke” Donnelly is pleased to announce that his office will hold its second “Sheriff’s Citizens Academy” starting Monday, September 12, 2016. The first Academy, which took place during spring, 2016, was a huge success.  The second group of Academy class members will meet every Monday at the Bucks County Justice Center, 100 N. Main Street, Doylestown, 18901, starting at 7 p.m. The Academy will run for 10 weeks. This Academy will show members of the public the basic training that deputies must complete prior to working as a Sheriff’s deputy. The Academy also will demonstrate the deputies’ duties and those of every other agency that they come across during the performance of those duties.

The Citizens Academy is open to all who are interested, but space is limited. If you wish to attend the Citizens Academy, simply complete the application which is on the County website and submit it to Bucks County Sheriff’s Office, 100 N. Main Street, Doylestown, Pa 18901 **Attn. Academy**  There is no cost to attend this Academy.

Sheriff Donnelly also reminds all interested residents that the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office maintains a Facebook page. Residents are encouraged to “like” the Sheriff’s Facebook page to obtain more information on this Academy and other information regarding the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office.
