Bucks County Recorder of Deeds Invites You to Welcome Honored Veterans Home

October 2, 2015

The Bucks County Recorder of Deeds, in conjunction with the County Commissioners, Honor Flight Philadelphia and Parx Casino, invite you to participate in welcoming back over 200 World War II and Korean War Veterans from their once in a lifetime “Tour of Honor” in Washington D.C. The Honor Flight event takes place Monday, October 5, 2015 and homecoming is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. at Parx East.

Honor Flight was created to honor veterans with a free trip to view the memorials in Washington D.C. that are dedicated to their service and sacrifice. It is a small token of thank you, during which time the veterans will be recognized, admired and appreciated for all they did to protect our freedoms. Veterans will come home from the trip with a sense of pride, knowing their country still loves and respects them.

Join in the excitement of the day and continue showing the veterans respect and admiration, welcoming them home by raising a flag, or carrying a sign of thanks. As the veterans depart the buses, give a hug and say thank you to those who made the choice to sacrifice themselves to defend our country. Let the veterans know that, not just for the day, but every day, they are valued and cherished.

Entertainment such as bands, reenactments, firetrucks and more will be provided onsite as well as Street Rd. The first 500 people to arrive will receive free hot dogs and pretzels. Parx Casino is located at 2999 Street Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020.
