Bucks County Board of Elections Relocates Five Voting Districts in Advance of November 3 Municipal Election

The Bucks County Board of Elections met and reorganized today in the 6th Floor Conference Room of the new Bucks County Justice Center. Because it is a Commissioners’ election year, the Board of Elections will consist of the Hon. James M. McMaster (who was unanimously named chairman), the Hon. Gary B. Gilman (elected vice chairman) and the Hon. Wallace H. Bateman, Jr. During the brief meeting, the Board unanimously approved polling place relocations for five voting districts. Those relocations will take place as follows:

Tawanka Learning Center
2055 Brownsville Rd., Trevose

Scottsville United Methodist Church
2400 Brownsville Rd., Langhorne

Tawanka Learning Center closed and has been demolished. Scottsville United Methodist Church will be a permanent relocation.

Plumstead Twp. District 4

Second Baptist Church of Doylestown
6055 Swamp Rd., Fountainville

Hanusey Park Community Center
4757 Gordon Rd., Doylestown 

Second Baptist Church of Doylestown was in adjacent district to District 4. Hanusey Park Community Center will be a permanent relocation as it is in the center of the district to accommodate voters.

Tullytown Borough

Tullytown Administrative Building
578 Main St., Tullytown

Tullytown Borough Hall
500 Main St., Tullytown

Tullytown Administrative Building was only a temporary relocation while the Borough Hall was undergoing renovations. Polling place is moving back to Tullytown Borough Hall.

Warwick Twp. 2

Heritage Creek Marquis Club
1365 Tulip Rd., Warminster

St. Cyril of Jerusalem
1410 Almshouse Rd., Jamison

Warwick Twp. 2 is expanding with a new development, and possibly another one on the way. St. Cyril of Jerusalem offers a larger facility compared to the one room at Heritage Creek Marquis Club and it will be a permanent relocation.

Warwick Twp. 3

St. Cyril of Jerusalem
1410 Almshouse Rd., Jamison

Middle Bucks Institute of Technology
2470 Old York Rd., Jamison

St. Cyril of Jerusalem was in an adjacent district to District 3. Middle Bucks Institute of Technology will be a permanent relocation as it is in the district.


Voters in those districts will be notified by mail of the changes. In addition, the board approved a referendum question for the Bristol Borough Ambulance and Rescue Squad. Borough voters will be asked: “Shall Bristol Borough be authorized to levy a real estate tax of up to 2 mills to support the emergency medical service ambulance and rescue squad serving Bristol Borough?” Detailed information about all of the county’s 306 voting districts is available on the Board of Elections pages on the official county website, www.BucksCounty.org.
