County to Hold Household Hazardous Waste Event Saturday, July 25 in Central Bucks

The Board of Bucks County Commissioners, in conjunction with the Bucks County Planning Commission, will be hosting the third of five Household Hazardous Waste events on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Central Bucks High School South, located at 1100 Folly Rd, Warrington. Household Hazardous Waste will be accepted between 9 am and 3 pm, rain or shine.

Hazardous products up to 25 gallons or 220 pounds will be accepted at the event. Eligible products usually have labels with key words such as Danger, Warning or Caution. Some examples of hazardous, acceptable products are pesticides, oil-based paint, ammonia-based household cleaners, pool cleaners, rechargeable batteries, and car batteries. Propane tanks, 20 pounds or less, are also accepted. Latex paint, asbestos, biological waste, and tires are some examples of what not to bring. Electronics are not accepted at the HHW events this year.
