Bucks County Planning Commission Accepting Public Comment on Lower Neshaminy Creek Trail Study

January 8, 2015

The County of Bucks held a community workshop on December 16, 2014 to present the proposed trail alignment for a possible future trail to be established along the Lower Neshaminy Creek, extending from Core Creek Park to Bristol Road at the Neshaminy Falls SEPTA train station.  The workshop provided an overview of the trail feasibility study including:

  • Purpose of the study
  • What the study does and doesn’t do
  • Provides an example of the typical contents contained in a trail feasibility study
  • Highlights the benefits of trails
  • Identifies how the study area fits into the larger county and regional trail plans
  • Identifies the proposed trail alignment

The study, when complete, will serve as a resource to the County and municipalities for grant applications and as a starting point for preliminary engineering efforts.

The presentation conducted at the community workshop will be available for comment and review beginning Thursday, January 8, 2015 on the Bucks County Planning Commission website:
