County Health Department to Spray Adult Mosquitoes July 21 in Morrisville

The Bucks County Health Department, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), will conduct a limited adult mosquito control spray in Morrisville Borough on Monday, June 21, 2014, beginning at dusk - weather permitting.

The area to be sprayed is limited to Central and Park Avenues; S. Delmorr Avenue, Wood Avenue, Washington, Chambers, Moreau, Green, Bank, Grove and Richard Streets; E. Philadelphia, Riverview, Delaware, Penn, E. Cleveland and Pennsylvania Avenues; Bowling Green Avenue and Riverside Drive. The Morrisville Wastewater Treatment Plant will also be included in the spray.

The application chemical will be Kontrol 2 + 2 (or equivalent), and will be released at a rate of one ounce per acre. The spray will be conducted using a lead vehicle: a Ford Ranger pickup; and a spray truck: a Chevrolet pickup.  Both vehicles bear County of Bucks identification on the vehicle side doors.  The county Pesticide Applicator Number BU0107 will also appear on both vehicles.
