County Health Department to Spray Adult Mosquitoes June 5 in Croydon

The Bucks County Health Department, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), will conduct a limited adult mosquito control spray in Croydon, Bristol Township, on Thursday, June 5, 2014, beginning at dusk - weather permitting. The area to be sprayed contains all streets, roads and avenues east of Route 13 from the Neshaminy State Park - including the marina area - and then north to Elm Avenue.

The application chemical will be Duet from Clarke Mosquito Company (or equivalent), and will be released at a rate of one ounce per acre. The spray will be conducted using a lead vehicle: a Ford Ranger pickup; and a spray truck: a Chevrolet pickup.  Both vehicles bear County of Bucks identification on the vehicle side doors.  The county BU number is 0107.
