A new planning initiative has begun to revitalize the Village of Almont in West Rockhill Township, Bucks County.
Almont Village has had a rich history and fundamental role in the development of West Rockhill Township. However, growth pressures, unsafe traffic conditions, land use concerns, and environmental constraints are among the many challenges now facing Almont, leading to the need to re-evaluate the Village in a comprehensive fashion.
Bucks County planners will be assisting West Rockhill Township in developing a Master Plan for the future of Almont. This plan will provide solutions that will strengthen the economic structure and physical appearance of Almont.
West Rockhill Township, along with staff from the Bucks County Planning Commission, will host a meeting June 4, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. that will last approximately one hour. A short presentation will be conducted at 7:30 p.m., followed by a question and answer session. The meeting will be held at the following location:
Penn Foundation, Univest Community Room
807 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville
Interested citizens will be introduced to the planning efforts and view drafts and displays. During the meeting, the public will also have the ability to express their comments and concerns to county planners, project staff and township officials.
