The County of Bucks has prepared a study on the feasibility of establishing a trail along the Upper Neshaminy Creek, extending from Twin Streams Park in Chalfont south to the Forks of the Neshaminy in Rushland. The study:
- Identifies potential trail routes;
- Evaluates connections to existing park and trail facilities, town centers, recreational areas, historic sites, and commercial areas;
- Provides an estimate of probable costs to develop the trail; and
- Identifies implementation strategies.
The study, prepared by the Bucks County Planning Commission, will serve as a resource to the County and municipalities for grant applications and as a starting point for preliminary engineering efforts.
The preparation of this study was financed in part through funds made available by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission from a grant by the William Penn Foundation.
The study will be available for comment and review beginning Thursday May 22, 2014 on the Bucks County Planning Commission website.
Comments or questions regarding the study should be submitted to the Bucks County Planning Commission at firstname.lastname@example.org or via fax at 215-345-3886 no later than Friday May 30, 2014.
