The Bucks County Department of Health West Nile Virus Program will conduct a limited adult mosquito control event on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, weather permitting. This spray is a response to high counts of West Nile Virus positive mosquitoes found in this area. The spray will commence at dusk.
The area to be sprayed will be the skating rink and directly associated woods and fields of Menlo Park.
The application chemical will be Duet, to be applied using two ultra low volume back pack sprayers at a rate of .75 ounces per acre. One truck will be associated with this spray; a Ford Ranger pickup with a county seal. This truck is to be used to shuttle technicians and equipment only. Additional equipment may be used as needed.
