County Health Department to Spray Adult Mosquitoes August 2 in Buckingham and New Britain Townships

The Bucks County Department of Health West Nile Virus Program, in association with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), will conduct a limited adult mosquito control event on Friday August 2, 2013, weather permitting.  The spray will commence at dusk. The area to be sprayed will be Peace Valley Park in New Britain Township and George M. Bush Park in Buckingham Township. 

Both sprays will be limited to the interior borders of the parks, no spraying outside of the parks will occur.  

The application chemical will be Duet, to be applied using an ultra low volume truck mounted sprayer at a rate of .75 to one ounce per acre. One truck will be used, a green Chevrolet truck with the County of Bucks seal on the side.
