County to Host April 23 Evening Workshop: "Starting & Expanding Your Latino-Owned Business"

On Tuesday, April 23, 2013, the County of Bucks Business Development Department, in conjunction with the Bucks County Commissioners, the Latino Leadership Alliance of Bucks County, and William Penn Bank, are presenting the workshop, Starting & Expanding Your Latino-Owned Business. The event will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2915 Street Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. The program begins at 6:00 p.m. and concludes at 8:00 p.m.

The County of Bucks is proud to broaden the impact of their business development programs among Hispanic and Latino entrepreneurs. This presentation is designed for persons who want to start a business, and business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals who want to learn more about the resources available in Bucks County to help grow their business. Scheduled members of the panel include:

  • Sonia Smith, Business Development Administrator, County of Bucks
  • Felix Gonzalez, Esq., Law Office of Felix P. Gonzalez
  • Carol Weinstein, CEO, CPW Financial Services
  • Steve Gannon, Principal Agent, Gannon Insurance Agency
  • Susan Richard, President, Richard Associates Marketing Consulting

Bilingual assistance will be facilitated by members of the Latino Leadership Alliance. The program discussion will include the following topics, in addition to a Q&A session:

  • Legal Considerations
  • Licensing & Permitting
  • Record Keeping
  • Insurance
  • Marketing
  • Financing
