County Health Department and Pennsylvania DEP to Spray Mosquitoes September 12 in Bristol Township

The Bucks County Health Department, in association with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), will conduct an adult mosquito spray on Wednesday, September 12th, 2012, between 7:15 p.m. and 11 p.m. - weather permitting - in Bristol Township. The spray will begin at 7:15 p.m. and will involve all of Croydon, Croydon Manor, Croydon Acres, Maple Shade, Croydon Heights, West Bristol, Bristol Gardens, Rockdale and Belardly sections of the township. It will also include the following streets and avenues in Newportville: Avenues A, B, C, E, Groveland, Hillside, Nebraska, Nelson, Nathan, Plum, Sunset, Noah, Pine and Groveland, Streets: Nice, Nichol. These areas will be sprayed by truck mounted sprayer.   

The Bucks County vehicles to be used will be a green 1997 Chevy pickup truck and a green Ford Ranger pickup truck and a blue Ford Ranger pickup.  All county vehicles will be marked with the Bucks County Health Department logo.  The chemical to be applied will be Duet and or Masterline Kontrol 4-4.  The Pennsylvania DEP truck related information will be released separately by that agency.
