County Health Department to Spray Mosquitoes August 21 in Bensalem & Lower Southampton Townships
The Bucks County Health Department, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), will conduct an adult mosquito spray on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. - weather permitting - in Bensalem Township. The spray will be limited to the municipal building property and open air theater.
In addition, Health Department officials will also be spraying the following streets in Lower Southampton Township immediately after the Bensalem event: Sterner Mill Road between East Street Road and Philmont Avenue, Bruce Road, Fay Drive, David Drive, and Ann Drive. Start time will be approximately 9 p.m., with completion by 10:30 p.m.
The vehicles to be used will be a green 1997 Chevy pickup truck and an ATV. Both vehicles will be marked with the Bucks County Health Department logo. Additionally, there may also be a backpack ULV machine used in the woodline of the property. The chemical to be applied will be Masterline Kontrol 4-4.
