Bucks County Prison Oversight Board Seeks New Citizen Member
The Bucks County Prison Oversight Board is now accepting applications to fill a citizen member vacancy, replacing outgoing member Walter Stevens who resigned earlier this month.
The board, which oversees the operations of the Bucks County Correctional Facility (BCCF) and the Men’s and Women’s Community Corrections Centers, consists of the Board Chairman, Sheriff Duke Donnelly; Board Vice Chairman, citizen member Brian McGuffin, Esq.; Board Secretary, Controller Ray McHugh; the Commissioners, Chairman Robert G. Loughery, Vice-Chairman Charles H. Martin and Diane M. Ellis Marseglia; President Judge Susan D. Scott; county Chief Probation Officer Sean Ryan; Public Defender Christina King, and citizen member Karen Dopson.
The board’s monthly meetings include an update on Department of Corrections business from county Director of Corrections, Bill Plantier, a Controller’s report, inspection information and subcommittee discussions. Meetings are usually held the second Wednesday of the month at 1:30pm in Doylestown.
To be considered for a position, all candidates must send their resumes to the Bucks County Controller’s Office, Attention: Prison Oversight Board, 55 E. Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. Resumes will be accepted until Friday, June 29th.
