Bucks County to Host May 31 Workshop: “Succession Planning: Will Your Business Survive You?”

Succession planning begins by stopping the procrastination process.  Whether you are a sole proprietor, or in business with partners or family, our panel will help you determine the right strategy for handing over your business to someone else and preparing your clients and staff for the transition. 

On Thursday, May 31, 2012, the County of Bucks Business Development Department, in conjunction with the Bucks County Commissioners and the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, continues the Fulton Bank 2012 Financial Series with “Succession Planning: Will Your Business Survive You?” The workshop will be held at the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, 409 Hood Blvd., Fairless Hills, PA  19030.  Networking and registration begin at 8:15 a.m. The program starts promptly at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 10:30 a.m.

This workshop is designed for business owners; professionals who provide financial, legal, and consulting services to businesses are also encouraged to attend.  Topics to be detailed by the panel will include:

  • The Why and the How to succession planning;
  • Valuating your business;
  • Business succession options and their implications;
  • Preparing staff and clients for the transition

Our speakers represent the fields of law, mergers & acquisitions, accounting, and human resources.  Scheduled members of the panel will include:
