Commissioners Unveil New E-Alert System
BC Connection, Your Bridge to Bucks
In an effort to streamline communications to residents and visitors alike, and to get information to residents when they want it, the Bucks County Commissioners have announced a new email newsletter: BC Connection, Your Bridge to Bucks, which will replace the current Bucks County E-Alert system.
BC Connection will allow constituents to sign up for what matters to them, but instead of just a link like the current system, the newsletter sent to your inbox will contain more of the news release, a recap of the commissioners’ meeting, information on the Health Department event in your area, and most importantly, all the information you would need during a potential weather or other emergency.
“This enhancement is part of our continuing effort to ensure transparency and increase our communications with residents,” noted Commissioner Chairman Robert Loughery. “We want residents to have a choice to the types of things they like to hear about, and to get the information in a modernized manner.
To register for BC Connection, Your Bridge to Bucks, look for the sign up box on the home page of www.buckscounty.org, or click on the following link: http://visitor.r20.constantcontact.com/d.jsp?llr=ikdxqyeab&p=oi&m=1104629435720. Even if you were a previous subscriber to the Bucks County E-Alert System, you will still need to re-register for BC Connection; this is to ensure that no one gets subscribed without their permission.
Please note, BC Connection only replaces Bucks County E-Alerts, which will be phased out; It does not replace Ready Notify PA, Bucks County Community alerts for weather, traffic and other emergencies, sent to your email and/or cell phone.
