PASSPORT DAY IN THE USA 2012
Bucks County Prothonotary to Host Saturday Passport Fairs - Saturday, March 10, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Bucks County Prothonotary Patricia L. Bachtle is joining the Department of State to celebrate “Passport Day in the USA,” a national passport acceptance and outreach event on Saturday, March 10. Two Bucks County Prothonotary offices – Doylestown and Levittown - will host Passport Fairs to provide passport information to U.S. citizens and to accept passport applications. Regular weekday passport processing hours are still in effect.
On June 1, 2009, the last phase of WHTI (Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative) took effect requiring all U.S. citizens to present a passport book, passport card, or other travel documents approved by the U.S. government to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land borders and sea ports of entry.
On Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., passport applications will be accepted at the following locations: Bucks County Courthouse, 55 E. Court St., Doylestown and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Lower Bucks County Government Services Center, 7321 New Falls Rd., Levittown.
