Commissioners Searching for DVRPC Public Participation Task Force Members
The Bucks County Commissioners are looking for nominations to the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission’s (DVRPC) new Public Participation Task Force. Ideal candidates should have knowledge of the county, as well as some regional issues, and will have the ability to offer recommendations on public involvement and potential projects in addition to sharing information with their community.
County nominees will join others selected from the nine-county Delaware Valley region. The Task Force will include representatives from community and civic organizations, as well as advocacy groups, professional associations and the private sector. Twelve members will be chosen by the DVRPC board, and 12 will chosen through an application/interview process. Prospective nominees should have an interest in planning, knowledge of regional issues, effective communication skills, and a diversity of experience.
Task Force members will serve two-year terms, with a maximum of two consecutive terms. The Public Participation Task Force meetings will be held bi-monthly at the DVRPC’s Conference Center, beginning in June 2012.
