Bucks County Department of Corrections Participates In National Night Out 2009
As part of the 26th Annual National Night Out (NNO), a crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), Bucks County Community Corrections representatives Harris Gubernick, Kevin Rousset and Deb Williamson set up a children’s photo booth in the parking lot of Warrington Township’s Target retail store on the evening of August 4. The event was co-sponsored by the Warrington Twp. and Warminster Twp. Police Departments.
While inviting youngsters to have their picture taken in the back of a Department of Corrections vehicle, the booth encouraged families to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support and participation regarding local anticrime programs, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnership. Nearly 50 children of all ages participated in the three-hour Corrections display, which printed the photos with a “Captured” logo on the flyer.
