Buckingham Elementary Hosts Bucks County Commissioner
Diane M. Ellis-Marseglia Meets with Students at “Care by Celebrating Children Day”
Bucks County Commissioner Diane M. Ellis-Marseglia, LCSW recently visited with the students at Buckingham Elementary School for their “Care by Celebrating Children Day.”
The yearly event, started in 2001, is designed to give leaders in the community a hands-on opportunity to see what children are accomplishing in their school programs.
"This is my second year visiting Buckingham Elementary and one of my favorite things to do. The students are eager to share and the teachers and parents have put together a true learning experience," the commissioner noted.
The community leaders are escorted by select 6th grade students. Commissioner Ellis-Marseglia visited with different classrooms and the students shared their work with her. During her tour, Commissioner Ellis-Marseglia reviewed a PowerPoint presentation with a student, and visited with a 3rd grade class - answering their questions about what it’s like to be a county commissioner.
