Commissioners, Finance Director Again Remind Taxpayers of County Discount Period

As a reminder from the Commissioners, Charles H. Martin, Jim Cawley and Diane M. Ellis-Marseglia and county Finance Director Brian Hessenthaler, residents who pay their property tax bill by April 30 will receive a two (2) percent discount. During past years, more than 85 percent of Bucks County residents have taken advantage of this discount period.

During May and June, residents are entitled to pay their property taxes at face value. After June 30, a 10-percent penalty will be charged on all property tax bills.

“Especially in these tough economic times, we encourage Bucks Countians to save some money and pay their tax bills before April 30,” Commissioner Chairman Charles H. Martin stated.
