Bucks County Prothonotary Hosts Saturday Passport Fairs
Saturday, March 28, 10 am – 3 pm
Bucks County Prothonotary Patricia L. Bachtle is joining the Department of State in celebrating “Passport Day in the USA,” a national passport acceptance and outreach event. The three Bucks County Prothonotary offices will host Passport Fairs to provide passport information to U.S. citizens and to accept passport applications. Regular weekday passport processing hours are still in effect.
On June 1, 2009, the last phase of WHTI (Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative) will take effect requiring all U.S. citizens to present a passport book, passport card, or other travel documents approved by the U.S. government to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land borders and sea ports of entry.
On Saturday, March 28, from 10 am until 3 pm, passport applications will be accepted at the following locations: Bucks County Courthouse, 55 E. Court St. Doylestown; Lower Bucks County Government Services Center, 7321 New Falls Rd. Levittown; and the Upper Bucks County Government Services Center, 261 California Rd. Quakertown.
Information on the cost and how to apply for a passport book and/or a passport card is available at www.buckscounty.org and at travel.state.gov. U.S. citizens may also obtain passport information by phone, in English and Spanish, by calling the National Passport Information Center toll-free at 1-877-487-2778.
