Commissioners, Finance Director Remind Taxpayers of County Discount Period
As a reminder to Bucks County residents, the Board of Bucks County Commissioners, Chairman Charles H. Martin, James F. Cawley, Esq., and Diane M. Ellis-Marseglia, LCSW join county Finance Director Brian Hessenthaler and the Tax Claim Department to announce that county property tax bills are currently being mailed.
According to Hessenthaler, residents who pay their bill prior to April 30 will receive a two (2) percent discount. During past years, more than 85 percent of Bucks County residents have taken advantage of this discount period.
During May, residents are entitled to pay their property taxes at face value. After June 30, a 10-percent penalty will be charged on all property tax bills.
“We encourage all residents to take advantage of this discount period,” Chairman Martin stated. For additional information about the county Tax Claim department and the county property tax payment process, please visit www.BucksCounty.org and click on the department link.
