Commissioners Remind Bucks Countians to Get Their Free Flu Shot This Saturday
The Bucks County Health Department and Emergency Management Agency are once again gearing up for the county’s annual Pandemic Flu Drill, and the commissioners are encouraging residents to receive their free flu shot while helping the county tests its mass immunization plan.
“Last year, we saw participation grow considerably from the first drill– I would like this year to be no exception,” Commissioner Chairman Jim Cawley noted. “In addition to the public health benefit of vaccinating our citizens against the flu, we have made improvements to our mass vaccine systems should this plan ever need to be put to the test.”
The third-annual event is being held on Saturday, October 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at five locations. Residents should go to the location closest to their home.
