Bucks County Health Dept., Pennsylvania DEP to Conduct Sept. 17 Mosquito Spray in West Bristol
Event to be Conducted at Dusk, Weather Permitting

Starting at dusk on the evening of Wednesday, September 17, the Bucks County Health Department and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will conduct an ultra-low volume mosquito adulticide spray in the West Bristol neighborhood of Bristol Twp. During this operation, both residential and recreational areas will be treated to provide quick knockdown and effective control of adult mosquitoes.

Map of Area to be sprayedThe treatment, which will take place weather permitting, is a public-safety measure resulting from high populations of adult mosquitoes capable of transmitting West Nile Virus.

The area to be sprayed is bordered by Interstate 95 to the north, New Rodgers Rd. (Route 413) to the east, and Bristol Pike to the south. The Health Dept. recommends that residents use insect repellent if they go outdoors in this area. This joint-operation event will involve a truck-mounted apparatus with ATV backup.
