Bucks County Health Department to Spray for Adult Mosquitoes in Croydon July 22

As another public-safety measure of its routine environmental treatment program, the Bucks County Health Department advises residents of the Croydon section of Bristol Twp. that technicians will be applying adult mosquito spray at dusk on Tuesday, July 22, weather permitting. The spraying will be conducted in conjunction with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

The area to be addressed includes part of Neshaminy State Park and the following bordering areas: State Rd., Cedar Ave., Miller Ave., Delaware Ave. Maryland Ave., China Ln., Central Dr., Minot Ave. and 1st through 6th Aves. Portions of Neshaminy State Park will be treated by DEP officials utilizing all-terrain vehicles. The spraying is intended to lessen the population of mosquitoes that could be associated with the transmission of West Nile Virus (WNV).

According to the county Health Department, the application will involve less than one ounce of pesticide per acre, which will have no effect on pets or pools.
