2008 Special Edition - "Summer"

Our latest Special Edition 2008 Summer Tile, designed by Head Ceramist Adam Zayas, is the second release of our latest four-part Seasons series . It is available
for a limited time only from November 23th 2007 until December 31st,
2008. This design, a symbol of summer often depicted in European medieval art, was inspired by earlier tile themes created by Henry Chapman Mercer (1856-1930), the founder of the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works. Reaping wheat by hand, unchanged in method from Egyptian times to the early 19th century, appealed to Mercer's fascination with pre-industrial methods of labor. The proceeds from this tile are used to support the restoration
of our historic building. This tile is available only in our Green Underglaze color. $35.00 plus shipping and tax if appropriate.
