Mission:
The fundamental task of the Department of Human Resources is to
acquire, develop, and to allocate human resources in a way that enables
the County of Bucks to meet its goals by:
- Creating a positive work environment by insuring sound
management techniques are consistently practiced;
- Providing support and technical advice to line management
and also serving as internal consultant to senior management;
- Assessing and impacting performance through coaching,
training, counseling, and feedback;
- Establishing standards of performance
and professional behavior which facilitate a cohesive work
force and support a positive work environment;
Department Overview:
The Department of Human Resources is responsible for posting/advertising open positions, recruiting, and hiring. Open positions are posted here on the web site, throughout the courthouse and in every Magisterial District Justice office throughout the County. Management positions are often advertised in local newspapers. Applications are accepted for posted positions only, unless otherwise noted. The job requisitions also provide information regarding minimum requirements, such as education, typing or PA Civil Service. The County of Bucks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Human Resources is also responsible for coaching and counseling managers and their employees, negotiating and ensuring compliance with all Collective Bargaining Agreements as well as managing employee benefits, including Workers’ Compensation. Personnel files for all County Employees are housed in the HR office.
Our office is located at 50 North Main Street in Doylestown (across the street from the courthouse). Hours are Monday through Friday 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.
