SUMMARY: Performs general park maintenance and minor repairs to equipment and buildings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- General maintenance of park grounds and facilities - grass cutting and raking; leaf removal; snow and ice removal; salting and cindering of roads and walkways; and maintaining cleanliness of grounds, equipment and facilities.
- Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and buildings.
- Operates large mowing machines and various trucks.
- Ability to work with and lead or direct maintenance force in absence of Leadman.
- Ability to complete small jobs in related qualifies trades area.
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints, architectural sketches, equipment schematics, etc
- Directs and assists in repairs, alterations, additions, etc.
- May be required to perform additional work that follows prescribed or well-established procedures that can be learned within a reasonable time by training on the job. More detailed instructions as to the nature of their duties will be given to employees at the beginning of work.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess and maintain a valid CDL (commercial driver’s license).
- Must possess a minimum of four years of park experience.
- Knowledgeable in two or more trade level areas.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
