Voter Education
Beginning with the Nov. 7, 2006 General Election, when more than 237,000 citizens turned out at the polls, a new era of voting dawned throughout Bucks County. The county’s Danaher machines are accurate, simple to use, and cost-effective, and have been a part of successful elections in other Pennsylvania counties such as Philadelphia, Delaware, Dauphin, Monroe and Berks.
During the months leading up to the 2006 General Election, the Bucks County commissioners, in partnership with the Bucks County League of Women Voters and Comcast, conducted hundreds of training seminars to allow voters first-hand experience with the Danaher machines before election day. The commissioners are committed to ongoing education of the Danaher Voting Machine to ensure every citizen is comfortable, and utilizes their right to vote.
The BUCKS VOTES educational initiative includes our video, distribution of “BUCKS VOTES” informative brochures, and promotional posters. Voters are encouraged to watch a four-minute video depicting the HAVA compliant ways to vote on the Danaher machines. The video can be watched by clicking the link below.
The Bucks County commissioners encourage all voters to participate in every aspect of BUCKS VOTES Voter Education to ensure successful elections during 2008 and beyond.
