POSITION SUMMARY:

Position is responsible for analyzing business processes for several organizational units and guiding their subsequent improvement and efficiency through the appropriate use of technology.  Position will coordinate or lead cross-functional project teams in the execution of various technology projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as primary client liaison between IT and assigned County business / organizational units (“OU”).
  • Advises and works collaboratively with assigned OUs in analyzing business processes and identifies and documents solutions to improve their operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Meets with OUs on recurring basis and submits updates to initiatives and objectives for IT management.Conducts additional, recurring meetings with OU and IT management for strategic alignment.
  • In conjunction with Desktop Services and IT Training, develops trending, Root Cause Analysis, and corrective action plans using the current incident management system.Provides IT and OU management with updates.
  • Actively markets IT services and new enterprise technology initiatives and developments.
  • Provides technological guidance and strategic insight to OUs during the budgeting process.
  • Actively promotes and utilizes established project management methodology and best practices.
  • Assists OUs in determining anticipated ROI prior to adoption and demonstrates post-adoption ROI.
  • Ensures all OU initiatives fit within the approved IT architecture prior to adoption.
  • Communicates project goals, impacts, and status updates to project teams and IT management.
  • Proactively works with IT and OUs to develop RFP’s, and other technical discovery and pricing information.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant IT experience.
  • Must maintain a current driver’s license.

  • Ability to multi-task and to work with complex client requirements.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and individually.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
