POSITION SUMMARY
:

Responsible for supervision of Park Rangers to insure a positive, safe environment within the Parks system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages patrols and secures parks enforcing park regulations, Pennsylvania Crime Code, Motor Vehicle Code and Fish and Game Laws.
  • Prepares work schedules for Rangers.
  • Investigates all incidents and prepares reports.Compiles any information needed for court cases.
  • When necessary, administers first aid.
  • Coordinates with surrounding police departments.
  • Performs similar or related duties as assigned/required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required, in Park and Recreation Administration, Botany, Zoology, Criminal Justice or other field-oriented Natural, Social or Behavioral Science or a closely related field or combination of education and years of experience.
  • Must possess Act 120 training.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
