Insurance Fraud

In 2015, the Office of the Bucks County District Attorney received its first dedicated funding for an Insurance Fraud Unit, with one dedicated prosecutor and one detective. The Insurance Fraud Unit is funded entirely by the Pennsylvania Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority.

The unit conducts both proactive and reactive investigations, working closely with insurance company investigators and the Pennsylvania State Insurance Commission investigating Homeowners, Auto, Medical, and Workers Compensation Insurance Fraud, along with the investigation of Insurance Fraud associated with illegal drug activity.

Mission:
To protect the public from economic loss by actively investigating and arresting those who commit insurance fraud and to reduce the overall incidence of insurance fraud through anti-fraud outreach to the public, private and governmental sectors.

Insurance Fraud Can Be Reported Two Ways

  1. Private Citizen Referral Form
  2. Insurance Company Referral Form

Forms can be filled out and submitted online; or, you can fill it out online, print it and mail it with all other applicable material to:
