refers our county's reports to Bucks County Children & Youth
Social Services Agency for investigation and appropriate services;
maintains a registry of substantiated reports of child abuse;
confidential. Processes Act 33 Clearances (child abuse) for
persons seeking employment/volunteer positions which put them
in contact with children.

Multi-disciplinary approach in
the treatment and investigation of child sexual abuse and severe
physical abuse cases; includes law enforcement, district attorney's
office, medical personnel, mental health professionals, and
the Children & Youth Social Services Agency. Children (under
the age of 18) come to the center for abuse interviews with
the goal of reducing the number of interviews a child must
go through and thereby reduce the trauma for the child; the
center provides a coordinated investigation and treatment plan.
Contact the program director for information and to set up
an appointment; referrals can come from parents or from professionals.

Program for children ages 5 to
9 years who exhibit sexualized behaviors or heightened sexual
interest. Program content is educational; helps children identify
and verbalize their feelings, identify behaviors that feel
comfortable/uncomfortable and learn what to do when exposed
to touching that is inappropriate. Assists child in learning
appropriate boundaries and personal safety skills. Parents'
meeting is also held to help parents gain a more comprehensive
understanding of child sexual development. Referrals accepted
for any age appropriate child who may benefit; referrals accepted
from parents as well as the professional community.

Prevention program provides counseling,
case management, and parenting workshops to residents of Bristol
Borough and Bristol Township who have children age 12 or under;
voluntary participation; geared toward families who regularly
face a multitude of stressors which put them at risk for child
abuse or neglect; services offered at above office; in-home
counseling is available when needed.
