Emergency Department services; Sexual Assault Response Team provides assistance to victims of rape, indecent assault and other sex crimes; the specially trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) aim to reduce additional trauma to the victim and to do the necessary procedures to collect evidence (see also section on "Sexual Abuse & Assault").
Community education program; Parish Nursing Initiative that provides technical assistance to health ministers within various churches who identify in-home problems; Free Clinic, staffed by medical professionals who volunteer their time on Tuesday evenings.

A Women's Center (215-453-4050) offers health services, and specially trained nurses in the area of domestic violence provide information and referral for victims who are not in crisis. Emergency Department services; Domestic Violence education and screening program trains staff to screen for domestic violence all females, emancipated minors, and at-risk males who are patients in OB/GYN, the Emergency Department, or Home Care, and patients admitted directly to nursing units; referrals for support services; brochure and hotline information are available in patient changing rooms and bathrooms used by employees and the public; community education program; various support groups; staff is trained in detection of abuse/neglect, and workplace violence prevention strategies.
