Administrative Order No. 28 Adoption Investigation Reports
In accordance with the Child Protective Services Act, 11 Pa.C.S. §2201 et seq., as amended by Act No. 1985-33, whenever an adoption investigation is made pursuant to 23 Pa.C.S. §2535(c), the Report of Investigation filed with the Clerk of the Orphans' Court shall be required to contain:
1. A report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police; and
2. A certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare certifying that the applicant(s)/proposed adoptive parent(s) are not registered as the perpetrator(s) of a founded or indicated report of child abuse.
